May the flavour of Diwali bring prosperity, joy and luminosity in all of our lives!

Madhubani

I have been gathering ideas and inspiration in my head and waiting for the right time to embark on a new post in this blog; but a range of activities have been in my way.. for the good of course. It began with my wonderful visit to the UK which took me back into reminiscence of London, Norwich and the charming British culture. The escapade of good food and travelling; moreover the highlights of the visit being my graduation ceremony in Norwich and a holiday in Bath and Stonehenge.

Returning back to the routine life back home in India, I ventured an attempt into creating yet another masterpiece, the most amazing but extremely elaborate art of Madhubani hand-painting hailing from Bihar, India.

Currently it is still at a stage where the photographs don’t work well at explaining the art, it is indeed demanding a lot of patience and time from me. To be honest, even i am taking my sweet time to pursue it, looking at its intricacy and finesse which is of supreme importance.

Mainly done on fine silk fabric, the fabric/ acrylic colours are indeed difficult to handle due to the risk of smudging and bleeding.

Photographs of few stages of the progress shall be coming soon. Giving a glance of my piece of work. Unfortunately, it is still in an incomplete stage but I hope the images are appealing enough. I am trying to complete it as soon as possible. The constant and some unexpected travelling has kept me away from doing so.

Next step would be, getting it framed in a simple and contrast border and hanging it up in the living room.
Comments and suggestions are always welcomed!
